May 28–30 | Tulsa, Oklahoma
There is something fitting about craftsmanship meeting history on Route 66, and this May that connection comes to life in Tulsa.
From May 28 to 30, Jenkins & Co. will host a special pop-up featuring Tulsa-based designer David Caldwell. The shop is known for “a curated selection of housewares, apothecary, paper goods, jewelry and clothing,” creating a space where thoughtful design and everyday function meet.
Located along historic Route 66, the setting adds meaning to the event. Tulsa has long been tied to the legacy of the highway, and this pop-up brings a modern perspective to that history through design and material.
A Designer Rooted in Craft
David Caldwell builds his work around longevity and intention. His focus is on heirloom-quality leather goods that are meant to be used, worn, and kept over time. Each piece is made with attention to detail, from the selection of materials to the final construction.
His design approach is simple and refined. He prioritizes function without sacrificing character. Natural textures, subtle variations, and hand-finished details give each item a sense of individuality. No two pieces are exactly alike, which is part of what makes them special.
David’s work reflects a slower way of making, one that values quality over quantity and meaning over trend.
The Collection: Route 66 Inspired
For this pop-up, Caldwell is introducing a collection inspired by Route 66 and the spirit of the open road.
The collection will include:
-
Custom Route 66 leather keychains
-
High-quality leather totes
-
Leather-bound books
Each piece is designed with durability and timeless style in mind, while also capturing the nostalgia and character of the historic highway.
Why It Matters
This pop-up is more than a shopping event. It is an opportunity to experience craftsmanship in person and to connect with the story behind the work.
Jenkins & Co. provides the perfect setting. Their focus on well-made, thoughtfully sourced goods aligns naturally with Caldwell’s approach. Together, they create an experience that feels personal, intentional, and rooted in quality.
